Sunday at 11am
Our Sunday service takes place at 11am each Sunday in our modern, accessible, spacious worship area. It is also livestreamed - the worshipping community at Emmanuel is far greater than just those of us who meet in the building!
We use Common Worship for our liturgy, the Lectionary for our reading, and a range of styles of contemporary and traditional music. Services last for around one hour. Refreshments and children's activities are always available, with Godly Play for primary aged children, a youth group for teenagers, and Toddly Play for you to supervise your under 3s at the back of the main worship space.

Second Sunday: Holy Communion
Third Sunday: Morning Worship
Fourth Sunday: Holy Communion
Fifth Sunday: Cafe Worship

Thursday at 10am
We also have a Midweek Communion service at 10am each Thursday in the main church building. This is a smaller gathering that lasts around thirty minutes. Everyone is invited for coffee in the cafe area afterwards.
Morning Prayer
Morning Prayer takes place from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am in the chapel at Emmanuel. We follow liturgy from the Northumbrian Community. This is led by different people each day, so there is always a different flavour to our prayer together. Everyone is welcome to join us.
Tuesday meal
Anyone who is struggling for food and shelter is welcome to our Tuesday meal at 5.15pm. We will do all we can to send you on your way with food in your belly and hope in your heart.
Art Club
Each Monday, join us in the Cafe area at 10am for our art group. It doesn't matter what your creative ability - just come along and enjoy spending time with one another, and plenty of cake!
Church Lunch
On the first Friday of each month at midday, we gather in the Cafe area at Emmanuel for soup and a bread roll. This is an outreach activity particularly for those living alone...it is a great chance to have some fellowship and company with friends. There is no charge, but donations are welcome.
